Andre Villas-Boas believes that Branislav Ivanovic and John Obi Mikel's injuries are nothing serious.

Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas has said that Branislav Ivanovic and John Obi Mikel's injuries are not serious.

The Chelsea duo were both substituted during the club's 1-1 draw at Tottenham last night, with Ivanovic's removal requiring Jose Bosingwa to move to centre-back following Paulo Ferreira's introduction.

"They are both muscle injuries and they will be assessed tomorrow but it doesn't seem anything serious," he told the club's official website.

"Hopefully David Luiz can return to contention for the Boxing Day game, or Ferreira, Romeu or Bosingwa can play there."

Villas-Boas welcomes local rivals Fulham to Stamford Bridge next, before Aston Villa on New Year's Eve.
