Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez has paid tribute to the strength of his squad following their win over Sunderland on Sunday.
The Blues were forced to make five changes to the side that beat Rubin Kazan 3-1 on Thursday, having played four games in eight days over three competitions.
However, Chelsea managed to secure a 2-1 win over the Black Cats at Stamford Bridge, which delighted their temporary boss.
"You always try to select the right team. If you win you will say that is right, if you cannot, maybe we will find something to talk about," Benitez told Sky Sports News.
"We see the players training and today you could see some players who were a little bit tired.
"But we have quality in the squad and the priority now is every game, trying to pick the right team and trying to win."
Chelsea are now third in the Premier League table.
