Rafael Benitez says that he is pleased with the reaction of his Chelsea team as they came from behind to beat Basel 3-1 to reach the Europa League semi-final.

Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez has praised the reaction of his team after they fought back from 1-0 down to beat Basel 3-1 in their Europa League semi-final.

Goals from Fernando Torres, Victor Moses and David Luiz saw Chelsea progress to the Europa League final, which will be played at the Amsterdam ArenA on May 15.

"To be fair we had two clear chances in the first half, but we didn't take them. We had to react and credit to the players," Benitez told ITV Sport.

"I came to do a professional job and I am really pleased with the professional commitment of players.

"We have had a very good atmosphere inside and the players have worked really hard. I was really pleased with them before and I am really pleased with them now."

Rafael Benitez was appointed Chelsea interim manager on November 21 last year.
