Rafael Benitez lauds the way that his Chelsea players recovered from a one-goal deficit against Everton.

Interim manager Rafael Benitez has hailed his Chelsea players for the attitude that they showed during today's trip to Everton.

Benitez's team trailed with just over one minute on the clock thanks to a strike from Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar.

However, a goal either side of the break from captain Frank Lampard sealed a 2-1 win for the Blues.

"We started the game making a couple of big mistakes and they were pushing really hard," Benitez told BBC Sport. "But the players reacted and that was good against very strong players who have been playing together for a long time under the same manager for ten years and that is a big advantage."

Today's victory was the seventh that Chelsea have recorded under Benitez's management.
