Emilio Butragueno dismisses reports linking Jose Mourinho with a summer return to the Premier League.

Real Madrid director Emilio Butragueno has dismissed reports that Jose Mourinho is expecting to leave the club this summer.

The Madrid boss, who took over at the Bernabeu at the beginning of last season, was linked with a return to the Premier League earlier this week after reported disagreements with the board. However, Butragueno insists that Mourinho's job is safe.

"We are not aware [of any truth to rumours regarding Mourinho leaving Real Madrid]," he told Canal Plus. "We are very happy with him and I believe he will stay at the club.

"Every week rumours appear, and as always, they do not affect us."

Meanwhile, Madrid have maintained their lead atop La Liga with a 1-0 win over Getafe last night.
