Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has insisted that under-pressure manager Andre Villas-Boas should not be judged until the end of the season.
The 33-year-old coach has seen his position come under scrutiny following a period of poor form.
The club slipped out of the top four after the 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge. However, Cech has called for patience as the former Porto coach tries to implement his style.
"He has brought a different philosophy of football and he tries to do things his way," Cech told the Daily Star Sunday.
"Now we need to wait until the end of the season and then judge - because I think there's a lot of potential here.
"We've shown that many times this season and that we can play good football. Hopefully, this will get even better."
Chelsea's next match is against Wolves later on today.
