Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has been critical of his side's failure to turn draws into victories.
The Blues recorded their ninth draw of the Premier League season on Sunday after Diego Costa rescued a point against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.
The West London outfit, who eased to title glory last season under former manager Jose Mourinho, are currently 13th in the table, 17 points off a Champions League spot.
"We've had too many draws to climb the table," Courtois told the club's official website. "In other games, like against Watford and West Brom, we should have won, so it's a pity because we could have maybe been ninth or eighth but we are where we are.
"The Newcastle game next week is a very important one where we have to get the three points. We've had too many draws at Stamford Bridge and the supporters deserve a victory."
Chelsea have won seven of their 25 league games this season.
