Lazio are reportedly keen on appointing Chelsea interim coach Roberto Di Matteo as the club's new manager.
The former Italy international is favourite to be handed the Blues job on a permanent basis after leading the London side to FA Cup glory as well as booking a spot in the Champions League final against Bayern Munich, which is due to go ahead on Saturday.
While Di Matteo has remained coy on his future, it is believed that Lazio have made an approach to the 41-year-old over replacing Edy Reja at the helm, according to The Express.
Reports have claimed that the Rome-based club have been in contact with Di Matteo, but if they fail to capture their main target, Gianfranco Zola is thought to be an option.
