Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao has suffered a hamstring injury during his side's 2-0 win over Levante on Sunday.
The Colombian striker suffered the knock midway through the first half after stretching to control a long ball.
The forward was replaced with Diego Costa by coach Diego Simeone in a game that saw Atletico close the gap on leaders Barcelona in La Liga to eight points.
It is not yet known how long the injury is likely to keep the former Porto striker out for.
Falcao has scored 18 goals in just 17 games this campaign, and has been linked with moves to Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City in recent months.
