Chelsea send trio out on loan

Thorgan Hazard, Gael Kakuta and Patrick van Aanholt are loaned out for next season by Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has sent Patrick van Aanholt and Gael Kakuta on loan to Vitesse Arnhem, while Thorgan Hazard – the younger brother of Eden Hazard – returns for a second season to Belgian side Zulte Waregem on a loan deal.

Van Aanholt and Kukuta, who helped Vitesse finish runners-up to Ajax in the Eredivisie last season, have already been training with the Dutch club. Similarly, Thorgan was instrumental for Zulte Waregem as they battled Anderlecht for the Belgian league title.

Chelsea enjoy a strong partnership with Vitesse, as Marko van Ginkel moved in the other direction earlier this month.

Meanwhile, Thorgan's form for Zulte last season earned the youngster his first intentional appearance in May when he replaced Romelu Lukaku in a 4-2 victory against the USA.
