Eddie Howe: 'It's a good time for Bournemouth to face Chelsea'

Eddie Howe says that Bournemouth are "meeting Chelsea at a good time" ahead of their clash at Stamford Bridge.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has said that his side are "meeting Chelsea at a good time".

Last season's Championship title winners travel to face the Premier League champions at Stamford Bridge in Saturday's 5.30pm kickoff.

Just five points separate them after 14 league games, and Howe told the club's official website that Chelsea's poor form, combined with Bournemouth's "momentum", means that his side can get the better of Jose Mourinho's outfit.

He said: "From our perspective, we are meeting Chelsea at a good time. We are in a good place at the moment.

"We're building momentum in terms of performances. Of course, ideally, you'd like to rubber stamp those with wins.

"The next two games are going to be a big showing of how far we have come in recent times."

Bournemouth will welcome Manchester United to the Goldsands Stadium after the Chelsea game.
