Everton defender Phil Jagielka has claimed that Chelsea captain John Terry is an inspiration to older players in the Premier League.
Terry played a key role in bringing the title to Stamford Bridge with his impressive form at the back for Jose Mourinho's side, and Jagielka admits that he can't help but be impressed with the 34-year-old.
"To still be playing at the level he is is amazing. He can only inspire. A lot of players hit 31 and 32 and start going the wrong way," he told talkSPORT.
"Maybe not playing international football has helped, giving him little breaks that he may not have had previously. He's had a fantastic season and deserves all the plaudits he gets."
It was confirmed on Tuesday that Terry had finished third behind Harry Kane and winner Eden Hazard in the voting for Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year.
