Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard says that he wants to be playing every week.

Frank Lampard has said that he is unhappy sitting on the bench and he wants to be play every game for Chelsea.

The 33-year-old was left out of last Saturday’s 4-1 victory over Swansea but restored to the starting XI in last night’s 1-1 draw with Valencia.

"I don't want to just pick my money up and sit on my backside on the bench,” he said.

"But you have to respect the manager and respect the team and the quality and the squad that we have.

"It's a big squad and the manager has to do what he sees fit. If he wants to bring young players through at times then I have to go on with that.”

Lampard has been at Stamford Bridge for ten years after moving from east London rivals West Ham and has made 349 appearances for the Blues.
