Lampard "would love to extend" contract

Frank Lampard has revealed that he is keen on extending his contract with Chelsea.

The midfielder's current deal is due to expire in 2013 and he has been linked with a free transfer away from Stamford Bridge.

However, Lampard would rather end his playing days with the Blues.

"As it stands I have this season and next season and I would love to extend that," he told the Evening Standard.

"As long as the club want me, I will be here. Whatever anyone says about me going anywhere else, I will be here, without a doubt."

The 33-year-old joined Chelsea in 2001 from West Ham United.
