David Luiz and Gary Cahill are likely to miss the FA Cup final after sitting out training with hamstring problems.

Defensive duo David Luiz and Gary Cahill appear likely to miss this weekend's FA Cup final after sitting out of Chelsea training today.

The pair have both been fitness doubts ahead of Saturday's clash with Liverpool at Wembley after suffering hamstring problems.

Luiz first picked up the injury in the Blues' semi-final victory over Tottenham Hotspur while Cahill limped out of their Champions League second-leg draw with Barcelona.

Should they not be fit enough to feature, captain John Terry is likely to be partnered by Branislav Ivanovic in the middle of the Chelsea defence, with Jose Bosingwa deputising at right-back.

With both Terry and Ivanovic serving European suspensions, boss Roberto Di Matteo will be hopeful that Luiz and Cahill can recover in time for the Champions League final on May 19.
