David Luiz: 'I've become a better player at Chelsea'

Brazilian defender David Luiz insists that he has become a much better player since making the move to Chelsea in 2011.

Chelsea defender David Luiz has insisted that he has become a much better player since making the move to Stamford Bridge.

The 26-year-old's improved form for the Blues has seen him linked with La Liga giants Barcelona.

It is still unclear as to whether or not new manager Jose Mourinho sees Luiz as part of his plans, although the Brazilian insists that he has improved both technically and tactically at Chelsea.

"I have become a better player at Chelsea," Luiz told Goal.com. "When you open your mind you learn a lot of things, and I did this in England.

"From this I have learned to be a better technical and tactical player with Chelsea than I was when I played at Benfica."

Luiz is likely to start Brazil's next Confederations Cup fixture against Mexico on Wednesday.
