Chelsea teenager Romelu Lukaku has admitted that he could be forced into seeking a loan move away from Stamford Bridge.
The highly-rated 18-year-old joined the Blues from Belgian side Anderlecht in an £18m deal last summer but has not featured on a regular basis this term.
"If my situation at Chelsea does not evolve between now and the end of the season, it may be better to be loaned out for a season," Lukaku told the Belga news agency.
"A loan this season is not possible, as I have already played for two different clubs [but] if this situation endures, it might be better to play for another club for a year and then come back."
Lukaku is currently behind Daniel Sturridge, Fernando Torres and Didier Drogba in the Chelsea pecking order, but there is continued speculation about the latter's future at the club.
"Let's see what happens in the next six months. Many things could still change," said Lukaku.
The Belgian striker has made seven appearances this season.
