Roberto Martinez: Barcelona have advantage over Chelsea

Roberto Martinez believes that Chelsea are at a disadvantage against Barcelona.

Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez has said that Chelsea face a tough test in the Champions League against Barcelona.

Martinez, whose side travel to Stamford Bridge in Premier League action this weekend, insists that the Blues would have stood a better chance if the second leg were in London instead of Spain.

"If the second game had been at their place, Chelsea would have had an advantage," he said.

"Chelsea need to take at least a two-goal lead to Barcelona to win. 90 minutes in the Nou Camp is a long period to address things and put them right. Barcelona did that against AC Milan the other night.

"If the second leg had been at the Bridge, Chelsea would be favourites."

Meanwhile, Wigan are one place off the bottom of the Premier League table.
