Jose Mourinho is reportedly on the verge of becoming the next coach of AS Monaco.
The French side are backed by billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev and the Russian wants to make the Real Madrid coach the highest paid manager in the world, according to the Daily Mirror.
It is thought that Mourinho will be offered in excess of £12m a year at Stade Louis II, as Rybolovlev looks to eventually turn the side into one of the biggest in Europe and a team that can challenge domestic rivals Paris Saint-Germain.
Chelsea are also keen on re-hiring their former manager, as the Portuguese looks certain to leave Madrid at the end of the campaign after falling out with a host of influential figures at the club, including goalkeeper Iker Casillas and president Florentino Perez.
