Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has said that his side's performance in their 2-0 win over 10-man Hull City was "just good enough" to secure the three points.
Eden Hazard and Diego Costa both scored in the victory at Stamford Bridge, where Chelsea sometimes laboured despite Tom Huddlestone's red card.
Following the clash, Mourinho told BBC Sport: "It was not a special performance, it was just a good enough performance. We were never in trouble. The 10 against 11 didn't change the game. As always Steve's team was very well organised, made it difficult but we scored early and I think the team felt quite comfortable and we never felt any danger.
"Hazard is a great kid and he had a chance to rest midweek, so today we could see his freshness and it's always good to have on the pitch a player like him.
"John Mikel Obi also had a very positive performance. Once more a big player for us didn't play - this time [Cesc] Fabregas - and the people who replaced him assumed responsibility."
The win ensured that Chelsea maintained their three-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.
