Ex-Chelsea player Adrian Mutu: 'Jose Mourinho is finished as a coach'

Former Chelsea player Adrian Mutu says that Jose Mourinho's career as a coach is "finished".

Former Chelsea player Adrian Mutu has claimed that Jose Mourinho is "finished" as a coach and that there is "no way back for him".

The Portuguese has been under pressure due to the Blues' current poor form, which has left them just two points above the relegation zone after 15 Premier League games.

Mourinho, who has won league titles with Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid, had a difficult relationship with Mutu, who left the Blues four months after the manager's arrival.

"He has been a great coach in the past, but as a person, he is fake," Mutu told The Mirror. "He only looks after himself and has no consideration for how his players are feeling and thinking. You could not go and talk to him.

"As a coach, he is finished. There is no way back for him. How do you come back from something like this?"

This evening, Chelsea need to gain a point against Porto at Stamford Bridge in order to progress into the last 16 of the Champions League.
