Oscar has admitted that he "idolised" new Chelsea teammate Frank Lampard as an aspiring footballer in Brazil.
The 20-year-old completed a £25m move to Stamford Bridge last month and insists that his hard work at Internacional has given him the opportunity to play with some of the world's best players.
Oscar said: "I have been working hard in Brazil and trying to get to Europe. I have been preparing myself for this moment and I am ready.
"I used to watch a lot of English football in Brazil because a lot of the games are on television. I always thought about coming to England and it is a dream to actually be here now. I always idolised Lampard so it is great to be in the same team as him.
"I'm happy to be in such a great team and to play with such world renowned stars like Fernando Torres, Lampard and John Terry."
Oscar was a second-half substitute during Chelsea's 4-2 victory over Reading on Wednesday evening.
