Ramires reveals his delight in the permanent appointment of "important" Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo.

Chelsea midfielder Ramires believes that Roberto Di Matteo was the right man to appoint as the permanent Blues boss.

The former West Bromwich Albion coach completed a two-year deal at Stamford Bridge yesterday after leading the London club to FA Cup glory as well as their first ever Champions League trophy.

"Chelsea's board made the right decision, it would have been a risk to do anything different," Ramires told Globo Esporte. "A different manager would need time to know the players and might not adapt.

"Di Matteo managed to make Chelsea play the way he planned and won the world's most important club competition. Thus, he deserves to be regarded as one of the most important managers nowadays."

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old recently revealed that he would be open to a return to former club Cruzeiro.
