Report: Atletico Madrid calm over Diego Simeone

A report claims that Atletico Madrid are not concerned with speculation linking head coach Diego Simeone with a move to Chelsea.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly calm over speculation that Diego Simeone is Chelsea's number one target to replace Jose Mourinho.

While Mourinho's position as head coach is not understood to be under any immediate threat at Stamford Bridge, should the Premier League champions continue to struggle, a change at the helm could be considered.

It has been reported that Simeone is Chelsea's first choice to take charge should Mourinho depart, with the Argentine impressing during his time at the Vicente Calderon.

According to AS, however, Atletico are not concerned with the speculation, with Simeone currently under contract with the Spanish side until 2020.

Since taking charge of Atletico in 2011, Simeone has won La Liga, the Europa League and the Copa del Rey.
