Robbie Savage responds to John Terry's dig about ex-footballer's "bad" career

Robbie Savage responds to John Terry's dig that the retired footballer had a "bad" career.

Robbie Savage has responded to Chelsea captain John Terry's claims that the retired footballer played at a "really bad level".

Terry told reporters in a press conference this afternoon that he ignores criticism from the BT Sport pundit, who has criticised the defender's recent performances.

The former England captain claimed that he can take criticism from the "very best", including Jamie Carragher, Gary Neville and Rio Ferdinand, but not Savage, who played for seven different clubs, including Blackburn Rovers and Derby County, during his career.

Savage tweeted: "Thx for the name check John good to know your watching I look forward to analysing tomorrow's performance Saturday morning."

The Welshman retired in 2008.
