Man City's David Silva: 'It won't be easy for Chelsea to win the Premier League'

Manchester City's David Silva does not believe that Chelsea will 'easily' win the Premier League this season, despite the strength of their squad.

Manchester City star David Silva believes that Chelsea will find it tough to keep their unbeaten run going in the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho's side currently have a five-point lead at the top of the league table following six victories and a draw.

City, who won their second league title last season, reside second after seven games and while Silva accepts that Chelsea's summer signings Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas have made their rivals stronger, the Spaniard is under no illusions that it will be an "easy" ride for the West London club.

"Chelsea have made great transfers," the Manchester Evening News quotes Silva as saying. "They have a great team, a great squad, but it doesn't mean things are going to be easy, especially in England."

Chelsea will play Crystal Palace away this weekend, while City will take on Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad Stadium.
