John Terry fit for Tottenham Hotspur match

Chelsea act to quickly to reveal that captain John Terry will be fit enough to face Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday night.

John Terry will be fit for Chelsea's match against Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday evening, the club have confirmed.

The Chelsea and England captain was forced to leave today's training session early with an Achilles injury.

Initial reports suggested that the defender would be forced to miss the Christmas period but the Blues have now revealed that they expect their skipper to feature at White Hart Lane.

A message on the club's official website read: "John Terry update - he pinched his Achilles blocking a shot, and will be OK for Spurs on Thurs."

Chelsea will go into the fixture in fourth place, two points behind Spurs.
