John Terry thankful for Jose Mourinho trust

Chelsea captain John Terry thanks Jose Mourinho for the faith that he has shown in him this season.

Chelsea captain John Terry has thanked Jose Mourinho for the faith that he has shown in him this season.

The 33-year-old defender was forced out of the team during the last campaign under interim boss Rafael Benitez.

However, Terry is now grateful to be a regular again following Mourinho's return to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

"The manager was straight with me from day one," he told the club's official website. "When Jose came in, after the first week he said, 'For me, nothing has changed. You're still top, you can still work and play at the top.'

"He showed faith in me, and to get that arm around you is something everyone needs, even if you are one of the more experienced players in the team."

Terry has scored two goals in 28 games for Chelsea so far this season.
