Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has said that Jose Mourinho's arrival at the club provides him with ample motivation for next season.
Mourinho was officially announced as Chelsea manager last week and is set to hold talks with Torres in the near future.
Speaking to reporters in Brazil for the Confederations Cup, the Spaniard said that he is looking forward to working with the new Blues boss next season.
"He has won a lot more than many of us. It is a new challenge [playing for Mourinho] and I am eager to face it," Torres told reporters.
"Mourinho says he will make me better if I stay? His words motivate me. He said he will not talk to the players who are here in Brazil until the tournament is over.
"He will then explain what he thinks of me and my situation and then I'll say what I think too."
Torres was signed for a British record transfer fee of £50m from Liverpool in January 2011 but has recently been linked with a switch to La Liga champions Barcelona.
