Goal
Asmir Begovic: The summer signing was kept busy in the first half, and pulled off some excellent stops. There was not much he could have done to prevent the goal, having already made a save moments earlier. (8/10)
Defence
Kurt Zouma: Zouma was a little lucky to make it to full time after a horrific challenge late on. He was caught out a few times at the back in the first half, but also made some impressive runs forward. (5/10)
Bertrand Traore: The Burkina Faso international made his debut for the side after spending last season on loan with Vitesse. He linked up well with Victor Moses in the first half, and showed a lot of pace and strength in the air. (7/10)
John Terry: The captain was as solid as ever as the lone veteran in an otherwise youthful starting back four. He rescued his defensive colleagues a couple of times, and made some crucial clearances. (8/10)
Ola Aina: It was a mixed night for the 18-year-old academy graduate, who had a good chance to open the scoring, but left too much space at the back too often. (5/10)
Midfield
Oscar: The Brazilian just did not seem to have his usual accuracy from the set pieces, but was once of Chelsea's busier players throughout. (6/10)
Juan Cuadrado: The Colombian put in a good display against his old club, showing excellent pace down both flanks, and creating some decent chances for his teammates. (7/10)
John Obi Mikel: The midfielder was pretty quiet in his 45-minute spell for the home side, having little impact at either end of the pitch. (4/10)
Victor Moses: Moses is doing everything he can to prove that he can do a job for Chelsea, sprinting down the wings, dribbling through the middle and looking for goal. His spell was cut short after he picked up a knock though. (8/10)
Ruben Loftus-Cheek: Showed plenty of intent getting forward, and was one of the few players to stretch the Fiorentina defence, but a couple of his finishes were a little selfish. (7/10)
Attack
Radamel Falcao: Falcao did not really get the service he needed to really have an impact, but he had a couple of chances and could not mark his home debut with a goal. (5/10)
Substitutes
Nemanja Matic: Replacing Traore at half time, Matic helped Chelsea get the ball forward more often, but talked himself into a booking late on. (6/10)
Branislav Ivanovic: The defender was workman-like as usual, defending well while also looking to help out going forward after replacing Terry in the interval. (7/10)
Gary Cahill: Cahill also came on at the start of the second half, and had more shots on goal than any of his teammates, but all of his finishes were straight at the keeper. (7/10)
Cesc Fabregas: The Spaniard added a much-needed sense of urgency late on after replacing Oscar, but needlessly gave away the ball several times. (7/10)
Willian: Taking over from Cuadrado, Willian was keen to get on with the job as Chelsea pushed for a late equaliser, providing a number of promising balls into the box. (7/10)
Cesar Azpilicueta: The defender helped Chelsea tidy up at the back after a scrappy first half. (6/10)
Ramires: Coming on for the injured Ramires, the midfielder did not have the same impact as the player he replaced. (5/10)
Eden Hazard: The PFA Player of the Year was welcomed by a huge cheer from the home crowd, but really did not get going in his 30-minute spell. (5/10)
Loic Remy: Remy saw plenty of action in the box, but was kept quiet by the defenders, before firing well wide late on. (6/10)

Fiorentina
Goal
Luigi Sepe: The young keeper made some solid saves, but looked shaky while dealing with back passes and free kicks. (5/10)
Defence
Gonzalo Rodriguez: The captain kept Falcao quiet in the first half and kept his cool in front of goal to net the winner. (8/10)
Nenad Tomovic: Tomovic also had responsibility for Falcao in the first half and did enough to prevent the Colombian having an impact, while blocking several crosses. (7/10)
Facundo Roncaglia: Roncaglia was solid in the box, making several blocks, but did get himself needlessly booked. (6/10)
Gilberto Junior: The new signing was probably the only starting defender who looked vulnerable at times, but he showed good intent going forward. (6/10)
Midfield
Matias Vecino: Vecino was dominant down the right flank, and left the crossbar shaking after hitting a powerful half-volley. (7/10)
Mario Suarez: On his debut for the club, the former Atletico Madrid man was involved in a couple of dangerous breaks, including the one that resulted in the goal. (7/10)
Marcos Alonso: Alonso put in a solid if unspectacular stint in the middle, dropping back in defence a couple of times, but having little impact up front. (5/10)
Attack
Ante Rebic: The striker saw very little action in the Chelsea box before being replaced with 15 minutes to go. (4/10)
Khouma Babacar: After a quiet start to the match, Babacar looked lively towards the end of the first half as Fiorentina dominated, but could not find the back of the net. (6/10)
Matias Fernandez: Fernandez had an excellent night, testing Begovic less than two minutes in while continually finding the gaps at the back for the Italians. (9/10)
Substitutes
Ahmed Hegazy: Hegazy helped prevent Remy from having more of an impact, but got booked for a foul on the striker towards the end of the match. (6/10)
Joaquin: Joaquin went relatively unnoticed until retaliating during a clash between the two sides late on, earning himself a booking. (4/10)
Borja Valero: Valero looked sharp on the counter-attack to help the visitors create a couple of chances to double their lead. (7/10)
Milan Badelj: Badelj did not have too much to do as Chelsea dominated late on, but he did slow the home side down a couple of times as they ran at the Fiorentina goal. (5/10)
Federico Bernardeschi: The young striker did not have the same impact as he did against Barcelona, failing to get a shot in his 15-minute cameo. (5/10)
Ricardo Bagadur: Bagadur make some good clearances, and survived a horrific challenge from Zouma in stoppage time. (7/10)
Josip Ilicic: Ilicic probably had the best chance in the second half for the Serie A side, rifling the ball just wide shortly after coming on. (X/10)
Giuseppe Rossi: Came on at half time for Babacar, but never really looked like adding to the scoreline. (5/10)
Manuel Pasqual: The veteran defender had to work hard to slow the Willian/Remy partnership, but ensured that few balls found their way through to the striker. (8/10)
