Sports Mole looks at how Manchester City could line up in Saturday's Premier League clash with Chelsea.

Manchester City could be missing as many as six first-team players for Saturday afternoon's key Premier League contest against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Benjamin Mendy remains unavailable due to a club suspension, while it appears likely that Aymeric Laporte and John Stones will remain on the sidelines through injury, meaning that Nathan Ake should keep his spot in the middle of the defence alongside Ruben Dias.

Ilkay Gundogan, Rodri and Oleksandr Zinchenko are all doubts, meanwhile, although it is believed that the former has the best chance of being involved in the English capital.

Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden are both now available following recent issues, and the former should start in midfield, but the latter could be among the substitutes at Stamford Bridge.

Gundogan, providing that he is passed fit, should start alongside Fernandinho and De Bruyne in midfield, while Jack Grealish and Ferran Torres are seemingly set to continue in the attacking areas.

Riyad Mahrez and Gabriel Jesus are battling for the spot on the right, and the fact that Mahrez played the full game against Wycombe Wanderers in the EFL Cup during the week suggests that Jesus could get the nod here, as the Brazilian was an unused substitute in the cup affair.

Raheem Sterling is struggling for league starts at the moment, meanwhile, and the England international is again expected to be named on the bench this weekend.

Manchester City possible starting lineup: Ederson; Walker, Dias, Ake, Cancelo; De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Gundogan; Jesus, Torres, Grealish
