Jose Mourinho's side broke the deadlock in the 20th minute when they were awarded a penalty.

Jussi Jaaskelainen brought down Oscar inside the Hammers' 18-yard box and Frank Lampard successfully converted the resultant spot kick.

Oscar himself added the Blues' second on 33 minutes when he ran at the West Ham defence and shot home with ease.

Chelsea created a number of chances in the early stages of the second half, with Lampard, Oscar and Samuel Eto'o all coming close.

Then with around 10 minutes left on the clock, Lampard scored his second and the visitors' third goal of the London derby, firing in from the edge of the Hammers' box.
