Armando Broja retains his place in the Chelsea's XI for Saturday's Premier League game at Burnley.

Armando Broja has retained his place in the Chelsea XI for Saturday's Premier League game at Burnley.

On Monday evening, the forward came through just over an hour on his first start since recovering from a serious knee injury that he sustained at the end of last year.

Nicolas Jackson had been expected to be recalled upon his return from suspension, but head coach Mauricio Pochettino has instead opted to hand Broja a second start in the space of five days.

Moises Caicedo is also named in the team having overcome a knock picked up in the final minutes of the Fulham fixture, but a thigh issue means that Mykhaylo Mudryk drops down to the substitutes' bench.

Raheem Sterling being handed an opportunity in his place is the only alteration made by Pochettino, with Marc Cucurella continuing to deputise for the suspended Malo Gusto at right-back.

There is the welcome return to the bench for Carney Chukwuemeka after being sidelined since the middle of August, while Noni Madueke offers another attack-minded option.

Meanwhile, Burnley boss Vincent Kompany has made four changes from the team that recorded a 2-1 victory at Luton Town in midweek.

Vitinho and Hannes Delcroix have been brought into the backline, while Mike Tresor and Wilson Odobert are making their first starts in the Premier League.

Connor Roberts, Luca Koleosho and Zeki Amdouni are kept in reserve, while Jordan Beyer misses out entirely due to injury.
