Team News: Eden Hazard only on Chelsea bench

Eden Hazard is only deemed fit enough to make the Chelsea bench for their Premier League clash with Watford at Stamford Bridge.

Eden Hazard has returned to the Chelsea bench for their Boxing Day meeting with Watford at Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian missed last week's victory over Sunderland with a hip injury, and is still not fit enough to start in Guus Hiddink's first match back in charge of the club.

Branislav Ivanovic, Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa were all jeered by the home fans inside Stamford Bridge last weekend, but the trio start once again today as Hiddink makes just one change to the side that cruised past the Black Cats.

That switch comes at the back, with Gary Cahill recalled to the starting XI and Kurt Zouma dropping to the bench.

Watford, meanwhile, make just one change to the team that convincingly beat Liverpool last time out, with Nathan Ake ineligible to play against his parent club.

Jose Holebas replaces him at left-back, while Troy Deeney and 12-goal Odion Ighalo - looking to become the first Watford player in history to score in five consecutive top-flight games - lead the line.

Chelsea: Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta; Fabregas, Matic; Willian, Oscar, Pedro; Diego Costa
Subs: Begovic, Baba, Zouma, Mikel, Ramires, Hazard, Remy

Watford: Gomes; Nyom, Britos, Cathcart, Holebas; Capoue, Watson; Abdi, Deeney, Jurado; Ighalo
Subs: Arlauskis, Prodl, Behrami, Anya, Guedioura, Berghuis, Diamanti
