With Bruce Buck departing his role as chairman and fellow chief Marina Granovskaia allegedly due to follow, it appears that Chelsea's focus has not been on transfers of late.
However, with those issues seemingly being resolved and the saga involving Romelu Lukaku possibly reaching a conclusion, the Blues may soon be in a position to press on with signing new players.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest Chelsea transfer news, including entering the race for Everton forward Richarlison and potentially hitting a stumbling block in their pursuit of Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.

Richarlison has established a reputation of being one of those players who constantly divides opinion, but it is undeniable that the Brazilian played a key role in keeping Everton in the Premier League last season.
However, despite his status at Goodison Park, the forward may become available for transfer this summer, a consequence of two years remaining on his contract and the Toffees reportedly having to boost their financial position.
Days after Tottenham Hotspur emerged as a potential destination for the 25-year-old, Chelsea are now regarded as a realistic alternative as Thomas Tuchel attempts to reshape his forward line.
Nevertheless, Everton have no intention of selling their most prized asset on the cheap, leaving Chelsea to decide whether they want to meet the attacker's release clause.
Jules Kounde 'has heart set on Barcelona'

With every passing day, Sevilla defender Jules Kounde appears to be linked with Chelsea in one form or another, but a deal has allegedly made little progress.
Upon the completion of Chelsea's takeover at the end of May, the expectation was that the Blues would quickly push through a transfer for the France international.
However, that has not proven to be the case, and it has now been claimed that Barcelona are emerging as a genuine rival for the versatile defender's signature.
While much will come down to finances, particularly on Barcelona's side, Chelsea may need to react quickly in order to sign one of their long-term targets.
Chelsea 'submit bid for Gleison Bremer'

Having starred for Torino during the most recent Serie A campaign, Gleison Bremer is ready to make a move to a bigger club during the summer transfer window.
Inter are known to be interested in the defender, the club's CEO acknowledging on Monday that the Brazilian is very much on their radar.
However, at a time when the Italian giants are yet to meet Torino's asking price, Premier League clubs are beginning to circle as they eye an opportunity to sign a player whose reputation has strengthened over the past 12 months.
Like with Richarlison, Spurs are said to be monitoring the situation, but it has now been suggested that Chelsea have submitted their own bid for the 25-year-old.
