AC Milan have reportedly turned down the opportunity to sign Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku this summer.
The Belgium international arrived for a whopping £97.5m from Milan's San Siro rivals Inter Milan but has been relegated to a bench role in the past few months after a number of uninspiring displays.
Lukaku also admitted last year that he was pining for a return to Inter Milan, leading to a frosty relationship with the Blues fanbase while he attempts to build on a paltry tally of five Premier League goals.
AC Milan were supposedly interested in taking Lukaku off of Chelsea's hands this summer, but Gazzetta dello Sport - via football.london - now claims that the Rossoneri are not planning on signing the former Everton and Manchester United man.
The report adds that Milan's agreement with Divock Origi means they have no plans to move for Lukaku, with his Belgian compatriot due to leave Liverpool on a free transfer this summer.
Lukaku remains under contract at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2026 but was taken off on the hour mark during a rare start in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to Arsenal.
