Alvaro Arbeloa seeks Real Madrid exit?

A report in Spain claims that former Liverpool defender Alvaro Arbeloa is hoping to leave Real Madrid in the near future.

Alvaro Arbeloa has reportedly decided to leave Real Madrid before Monday's transfer deadline.

The 31-year-old fell out of favour at the Bernabeu last term, with head coach Carlo Ancelotti having often preferred to play Dani Carvajal in the right-back role.

Arbeloa did feature in the La Liga opener against Cordoba on Monday night, but it was claimed that sections of the home support jeered his inclusion in the starting lineup.

That reception has made up Arbeloa's mind and the Spaniard is now determined to force through a move, according to El Chiringuito de Jugones.

The report adds that both Chelsea and Napoli have shown an interest in the former Liverpool full-back's services.
