Dynamo Moscow youngster Arsen Zakharyan has confirmed that talks over a potential transfer to Chelsea are underway.
The 19-year-old looked set to join the Blues in the summer transfer window after Chelsea activated the Russia international's £12.6m release clause.
However, due to British sanctions placed on Russia, as well as FIFA's rules and regulations on transfers of Russia or Ukraine-based players, Chelsea were unable to complete the deal.
Although Zakharyan was unable to join the Premier League club in the summer, he has revealed that talks are underway ahead of a possible January transfer.
He told Sport-Express: "I don't think about it now. You can ask the club, my representatives. I think it's all right. Negotiations are underway. But I will not reveal all the cards."
Zakharyan has scored three goals and registered six assists in 20 appearances for Dynamo Moscow this season.
