Barcelona are reportedly planning a £35m summer swoop for Chelsea defender David Luiz.
The Brazilian international was a long-term target of the Catalan club before his £21m switch to Stamford Bridge last January.
Barca boss Pep Guardiola is short of central defensive options and is regularly forced to use Javier Mascherano out of position in the middle of the back four.
Guardiola sees Luiz as an ideal long-term replacement for ageing captain Carlos Puyol and is ready to test Chelsea's resolve with a big offer, according to the Daily Mail.
The 24-year-old now is enjoying his best spell as a Blues player after coming under criticism earlier in the season for some of his defensive displays.
