Barcelona to poach David Luiz from Chelsea?

Barcelona reportedly express an interest in Chelsea defender David Luiz.

Barcelona are interested in Chelsea defender David Luiz, according to a Spanish sport website.

The 24-year-old Brazilian joined The Blues in January for £21.3 million and scored two goals in 12 appearances, more than Fernando Torres.

The website claims that Barca president Sandro Rossell met with Luiz's agent on a recent trip to Brazil to "express an interest" in the player.

Manager Josep Guardiola apparently "believes Luiz has all the characteristics necessary to succeed at Barcelona and has given the nod to his engagement".

It is considered "highly unlikely" that Chelsea, who signed Luiz on a five season deal, would even entertain discussions from the La Liga club.
