Rafael Benitez says that he could delve into the transfer window in order to strengthen Chelsea's squad.

Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez has hinted that he may add to his current squad in the January transfer window.

The Blues are currently missing Petr Cech, John Terry and Oriol Romeu through injury, while Victor Moses and John Obi Mikel will head to the Africa Cup of Nations later this month.

As a result, Benitez has admitted that he may be forced into trying to bring in some fresh faces at the club over the coming weeks.

"You can always improve things, especially when you have injuries, and we lose two players to the African Nations Cup," Benitez said.

"Obviously we need bodies but I am really pleased with the squad, they train well, the commitment is there and they are keen to learn.

"I think we will do our job [in the window] and hopefully it will be a good job."

Chelsea host Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
