Burnley have reportedly identified Chelsea youngster Conor Gallagher as a potential January signing.
Gallagher is currently on loan at Charlton Athletic, where he has contributed six goals and two assists from 21 outings in the Championship.
However, with that temporary deal only scheduled to last until the start of 2020, the 19-year-old is inevitably attracting interest from elsewhere.
According to The Sun, Burnley are keen to hand the prospect an opportunity to play Premier League football during the second half of the campaign.
The report hints that the Clarets may suggest a scenario of allowing Danny Drinkwater to return to Stamford Bridge in order to accommodate the loan arrival of Gallagher.
The 29-year-old has made just two appearances in all competitions since moving to Turf Moor before the start of the campaign.
