Chelsea have reportedly added Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi to a list of possible summer transfer targets.
Signing a striker is believed to be a priority for Jose Mourinho in the next transfer window as the club prepare to lose Didier Drogba, who is unlikely to sign a contract extension.
Icardi has emerged as a possible new recruit, and the Evening Standard reports that the Premier League leaders sent scouts to watch the 21-year-old score a brace in the 3-0 win over Palermo on Sunday.
However, Chelsea could face competition from Manchester City and Liverpool, who are both reported to be considering a move.
Icardi's current deal does not expire until 2018, but his wage demands were rumoured to be a stumbling block in recent negotiations.
