Chelsea are reportedly ready to make a renewed attempt to hand a new long-term contract to Antonio Rudiger.
The 28-year-old has now entered the final six months of his existing deal, allowing him to hold discussions with foreign clubs.
Despite the likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich all said to hold an interest, the Germany international is said to be in no rush to make a final decision over his future.
That has seemingly given hope to Chelsea, and according to The Mirror, the Blues hierarchy are ready to improve their offer for the centre-back.
Previous reports have indicated that the European champions remain far away from Rudiger's demands, but it is now claimed that they are ready to make some headway in negotiations.
Rudiger has remained as one of the first players on the teamsheet under Thomas Tuchel, the centre-back being provided with 28 starts in all competitions this season, far more than any other outfield player.
