Chelsea are reportedly ready to give the green light for Cesc Fabregas to sign for AC Milan during the January transfer window.

Chelsea have reportedly decided that they are prepared to sell Cesc Fabregas to AC Milan during the January transfer window.

Fabregas is currently in his fifth year at Stamford Bridge, with the Spaniard having scored 22 goals from 191 appearances in all competitions.

However, the 31-year-old has less than 12 months remaining on his contract, and the Blues are said to be against handing the playmaker a fresh deal.

Fabregas had been expected to leave in the summer but according to The Sun, Chelsea will give the green light for Fabregas to sign for AC Milan at the start of 2019.

The report suggests that Milan are willing to pay £10m to complete a deal in January in order to boost their hopes of securing a return to the Champions League.

Fabregas has played just 48 minutes of Premier League football this season, although five appearances have come in the Europa League and EFL Cup.
