Report: Chelsea to continue transfer pursuit of John Stones

Chelsea will reportedly restart bidding for Everton defender John Stones in January.

Chelsea will make a fifth bid for Everton central defender John Stones, according to reports.

The 21-year-old was the subject of repeated bids from Chelsea during the transfer window, but Everton rejected each approach.

The Mirror claims that Chelsea will restart transfer negotiations with a £40m bid in January.

Stones's current contract with Everton expires in 2019.
