Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho will reportedly ramp up his interest in Real Madrid centre-back Raphael Varane.
Mourinho worked with the France international during his spell in charge of Real after handing him his debut in 2011.
Varane could team up with fellow French defender Kurt Zouma at Stamford Bridge.
According to The Express, Mourinho sees Zouma and Varane as the long-term replacements for John Terry and Gary Cahill in the centre of defence.
The report adds that the Portuguese coach is desperate to bring Varane to West London.
Varane joined Real from Lens in 2011.
