Diego Costa plays down Chelsea talk

Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa plays down talk that he has already agreed to join Chelsea.

Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa has played down suggestions that he has already agreed to join Chelsea at the end of the season.

The 25-year-old, who is now regarded as one of the best strikers in European football, has been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent months.

Various reports have claimed that a deal is already in place, but the Brazilian-born Spanish international has branded the rumours "stupid".

"People say a lot of stupid things," Costa told Marca.

Costa is expected to be fit for Saturday's La Liga title decider against Barcelona following a slight groin injury.
