Denis Zakaria has reportedly completed his medical at Chelsea, with the midfielder on the verge of joining the Blues on an initial loan deal.
Having missed out on PSV Eindhoven's Ibrahim Sangare, the Blues are said to have switched their attention to Zakaria, with Juventus willing to let him leave on transfer deadline day.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 25-year-old has now completed his medical with Thomas Tuchel's side ahead of moving to the club on loan.
Romano claims that Chelsea will cover 100% of Zakaria's salary, while the Premier League side will have the option to sign him on a permanent basis for £30m during next summer's transfer window.
The Switzerland international has made two appearances for Juventus this season, playing the full 90 minutes against Sassuolo on August 15 before featuring for 32 minutes against Roma on August 27.
The midfielder was not involved in the squad against Spezia on Wednesday evening, though, and he is now set to leave the Old Lady on an initial loan deal.
Zakaria made 146 appearances for Borussia Monchengladbach before moving to Juventus in January 2022, and he has made 15 appearances for the Turin giants, contributing one goal and one assist in the process.
