Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba teases Romelu Lukaku's return to Stamford Bridge with a post on Twitter.

Didier Drogba has added fuel to the fire surrounding Romelu Lukaku's proposed return to Chelsea with a post on social media.

With the Blues understood to have agreed a £97.5m fee for their former player, Lukaku is reportedly set to undergo his Chelsea medical this weekend.

Lukaku previously spent three years in the English capital before leaving without a goal in 15 appearances, but his former teammate Drogba has seemingly confirmed that the Belgian will put pen to paper at Stamford Bridge.

The 43-year-old published a photoshopped image of Lukaku in a Chelsea kit on Twitter with the caption "He's coming home @RomeluLukaku9 @ChelseaFC" followed by a string of blue hearts on Sunday morning.

Below the initial tweet, Drogba added a green tick emoji amid reports claiming that Lukaku will pen a five-year deal worth approximately £11m per year with the Champions League holders.

Lukaku struck 24 goals from 36 appearances in the league last season as Inter marched to the Serie A title, and he leaves the Nerazzurri having netted 64 times in 95 appearances across all tournaments.
